What's On! - July in Christchurch

Welcome to Christchurch, the gateaway to the South Island and a dynamic cultural centre offering plenty to see and do. This is What's On!

As we go through Winter, there is plenty to see and do in Christchurch this month...

Until 2nd August, The Court Theatre takes on Willy Russell's production of the West End's longest-running musical: BLOOD BROTHERS. The story follows twins separated at birth, examining the impacts of nature and nurture and the tragedy of circunstance.

New Zealand Opera, with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, presents Patrick Nolan's production of Puccini's masterpiece LA BOHEME, an uplifting, passionate and tragic piece. From 15th to 18th July at the CBS Canterbury Arena.

During the weekend of 19th and 20th July, collectors and enthusiasts will enjoy the vast vary of dolls and bears at the NATIONAL BEAR AND DOLL SHOW. Organized by the Christchurch Doll Club, they will be hosting a midwinter Christmas theme for competitions. Find it at the Canterbury Horticultural Society Centre.

From 19th and until the 9th August at the Court Theatre, Forge Theatre Company will perform Pip Hall's play ACHE. It focuses on love's impact on everyday life, when family, career, hobbies and the odd existential crisis have to step aside.

Don't miss out!
