Fifty-five amazing street performers, comedians, fringe artists, musicians and visual artists are destined to leave you mesmerised and in awe. Whether you’re a fan of highly skilled acrobatics, hoola-hoopers, trapeze artists, musicians, dancers, circus and vaudeville skits, burlesque or you’re simply out for a good belly laugh – the 2014 SCIRT WORLD BUSKERS FESTIVAL has it all!
The WBF provides Christchurch audiences with 10 days and 11 nights of organised pandemonium, non-stop chaos and uncontrollable laughter – transforming BUSKER PARK – North Hagley Park and surrounding venues into a hub of fun, frantic and fantastic activity, entertainment and excitement.
The Life & Music of Glenn Miller
Wednesday 29th January, 11am. 34A Hansons Lane, Upper Riccarton.
Award winning entertainer Greg Ward presents an insight into the life and music of legend Glenn Miller showcasing his great hits of the late 30s and 40s and his contribution to the world of music before his untimely disappearance. Greg is joined by the golden voiced Debbie Penney and a four piece brass band presenting a vibrant show jam-packed with such favourites as Chattanooga Choo Choo, In the mood, Pennsylvania 65000, Moonlight Serenade and wartime hits like Don’t sit under the apple tree and White Cliffs of Dover.

Cohen's songs and poetry have influenced many other singer-songwriters, and more than a thousand renditions of his work have been recorded. He has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame and is also a Companion of the Order of Canada, the nation's highest civilian honour.
